Small business friendly products?
A friend has a small business (bar) and is pretty tech skeptical. I wanted to try out some products for him that might help grow and sustain his business.
Does anyone have a collection or recommendations for folks doing good stuff in this space? Not looking for the blood sucking stuff like DoorDash etc. - smaller scale and built with small business in mind, rather than trying to take over the...

Great Q! I don’t understand how some are “hunted” by the community, and others are launched by the creator…
Should you hunt your product yourself?

Where to write, to avoid paywalls (aka, not Medium)
Hi all - I want to write a series of blog posts on how to use Metabase to establish and monitor essential product analytics, without spending any money. In the past, I've written on Medium, but I don't like the idea of people being paywalled out.
I'm thinking about just doing a Wordpress install on a custom domain. Aside from losing discoverability (via a hosted platform like medium), anything...

Think of it as Product Hunt Profile user testing, where n = 1 and n = me.

I help people turn big ideas into things people find useful or entertaining…
So, you know how you want to know what your dog is saying when she barks, well I would work with smart people to develop that big idea and turn it into something real ✨

Get some sleep! Hopefully there will be opportunities to amplify launch beyond what you could plan for tomorrow, so being fresh will help you make the most of them.
Good luck!
We launch tomorrow! Any advice for us?

Anyone track pour over stats? ☕️ #quantifiedcoffee
I recently tripped into a James Hoffmann sized hole, and am working on improving my pour over. In parallel. Are you keeping track of your coffee data - I'm thinking spreadsheet for now...:
- Method
- Weight
- Ratio
- Timing
- Bean & grind setting
- Anything else?
Seems like HealthKit is WAY ahead of HomeKit in terms of data presentation and analysis/trends. So a stand alone app to analyze...

I read it as "Mini GOLF Course Generator", and I was intrigued!
Do you have a mailing list of avid 1.0 customers you can ask feedback from? What was guiding the product process from v1.0 to 2.0? I would expect validating those enhancements with the original people who you learned needed the changes would be way more valuable than quick glances from PH?
Did you get more PH feedback with V1.0?...
We are on Product Hunt with Mini Course Generator Today 🎉 Is there any idea for get more feedback?

If PetTech is still small, I would expect it's because there has to be a need for tech, via problems to solve, not just a tepid association. It sounds like you've identified a large audience, but it sounds like there are a low number of customers. Until that changes, or there is a tech break through which unlocks additional problem solving, it'll remain hard to make money.

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. I've been in your situation many times.
Noticing is super important (so you're off to a good start!).
In this situation, I remember that I can't show up fully to work, or to my family, until I show up fully for myself. So that should be the priority. Whatever it takes.
You'll get through this. Take care.
