I work as a Roblox gamedev, but because of the downtime I made this free web game about the whole situation instead.

I created this because we needed to find a Finnish-Japanese compatible name when our son was born. Initially it was just a command-line tool for personal use, but I took the time to turn it into an online version in case it is of use to other parents.

My son has been really into Minecraft, so I ended up writing some code to enable copy & pasting small images into it. This project came as an offshoot of those experiments. It was a lot harder to do than I expected. Details here: http://www.bemmu.com/qr-codes-to-minecraft

This is a small side-project I had been wanting to make for a long time, but couldn't come up with the right approach to make it work until now. The biggest challenge was making it fast enough, I went through doing it in pure Python, to using numpy and now finally it runs on a GPU. I might have to rewrite it yet again, because the current server is very pricey! Hope you like it.
