Living near friends is the secret to happiness -- or more negative terms, it's the trick to avoiding the tragedy of the suburbs (you prioritize kids' school and a home you like and can afford over everything else, and before you know it you're raising a family in isolation. And that's not how we should live!)
What I love about this utility is its practicality. Reimagining the future of home...

They seem to be hiding the prices a little bit - has anyone downloaded the app and been able to see how the prices stack up against comparably nice Airbnbs or VRBOs?

Great stuff. I’ve been fiddling with the app for an hour or so and I have one comment on the experience! Which is this: about half of podcast episode titles are too long and are getting truncated by your two-line space for the title, so I can’t understand what the episode is about. Which is really important for knowing whether I want to keep listening!

Very cool! The green-yellow-red color scheme though (or at least I assume that's what it is) is unusable for colorblind folks like myself - with little dots, it's impossible to tell between red and green, or reddish-yellow and greenish-yellow. Better to replace with a one-way spectrum like white to black, white to blue, light blue to dark blue, etc.

Seems like this would be awesome, if it could just take my gmail login and comb through for every flight I've ever been confirmed on. And then if the map could actually use the recorded flight paths that those flights actually took, instead of just drawing a fake great circle from one city to the next, that would be even better! As it is today, it seems like it just takes a lot of effort to...

Misfit has almost got me with this one. They certainly know how to make a wearable sleek and sexy, and I love the analog aspect.

I downloaded it, but can't see a way to actually see the "all the weeks of your life" view, only the years view and the weeks-of-this-year-only view. Disappointed. It would also be nice to have the option of creating multiple life calendars -- one to show the school periods of my life, one for the relationship periods, one for happy and sad days, etc -- like in the Tim Urban post. Finally,...

Nice work! This is definitely the aspect of VR that makes me the most excited/hopeful.

Yes! I've been hoping for something like this / daydreaming of building my own for a long time. Currently I track my travels with an old NYT experimental app called Open.cc, which I can export to a loooong list of GPS coordinates. Hope I can import those someday! I also try to keep a Google map of manually updated locations, but I've found that it doesn't handle over 200 points very well. ...

Nice! Big fan of these apps. Cesar, I may have just missed this, but does Freestyle add the ability to make a custom length that's different from 1 second? Your app first came out right before my first trip around the world, and I found that 1.5 seconds per clip was a better choice for what I wanted to convey from my trip, in addition to the multiple clips per day issue you mention above. ...

The motion sensor is the coolest part here, I think. Are there any GoPro add-ons that let you use a motion sensor?

This looks cool. A few thoughts:
- It looks like I'd stub my shin on the pointy corners and edges pretty often. Have you thought about solving this problem, which some bed frames also have?
- It also looks like the mattress would slide around on the platform pretty easily, say if you sat at the head of the bed with your back to the wall. Is there any high-friction stuff to prevent that?
- I...

I saw the "Coffee Table Books" collection yesterday and remembered this beautiful book by my friend @cooperrrr. It's more than a coffee table book, though -- she walked the full length of Broadway handing out blank maps to people on the street, telling them to "map their own Manhattan" and send it back to her. Everyone interpreted it differently, so as you read about the history of Manhattan...
