You can never motivate people. Even money is a short term boost. T he best way is to find out what they want to achieve in 6months or 2 years, and help them achieve that through your company. Sustainable motivation is intrinsic. Also, recommended to have weekly 1-1 meetings and team meetings to gauge where they are, emotionally, and professionally.

Nobody owes you anything and you're free to do anything. There's really no script to success. You can read all the bios you want, and do the exact same thing as them, and you will never end up like them. We'll can learn from their grit but still have to beat our path forward. Every success is different, but every failure is the same.
