Does anyone know if mail templates are or will be incorporated into Gmail? I've been dying for that feature (maybe I've missed it)

I love this idea and can think back on so many annoying conversations and meetings that could have been short-circuited with something like this. PM to PM, I'd be interested to hear how you validated that people are willing to pay for this and arrived at a price.
