I would recommend against it. We just launched yesterday and would consider it successful, or at least we don't have any regrets because we prepared very well for it. We're launching soon so these are great tips! My no-no to avoid would be to not focus only on Product Hunt. You should be all over social media giving updates about your new product to your audience too.

For me, a good piece of advice has been to go specific, don't just find business or startup magazines. If your product or service is strong in a particular industry, find journalists who cover that industry. You have a lot more competition reaching only startup journalists.
