About
I'm the founder and CEO of Meltano, and was previously GitLab's first Engineering Lead from 2015. I took over the then-GitLab-internal Meltano project in 2020, raised funding and spun it out in 2021, and have been its CEO since. My goal has always been to increase anyone's productivity at whatever task or goal they set their mind to. First, through the power of better tools, especially ones built in close collaboration with their users (i.e. open source), which led me to GitLab. Second, though the power of data and more accessible and powerful data integration and analysis. Meltano is the culmination of these two: open source data tooling that brings software development workflows to data engineers, to enable any organization to realize its goals more effectively.
