Training in the gym helps me relax and establish the connection between work & results. Also, having clear goals to tick off a to-do-list keeps me focused even in a less busy week.
Variation in concentration over the course of the work day is normal so I do recommend understanding yourself and timing when your productivity is highest. I like to take calls during my least productive times...
