Definitely not. It's a welcome addition to feed the narrative of what Instagram has become and keep the memeing on Twitter at bay. If you push aside the politics on Twitter, you uncover a user base you won't find spending time on Instagram 60min a day to respond and add value where they can.

Hi Barry, congrats on the launch. Why not adopt a Whatsapp group/Messenger Group/etc instead? Why go through the trouble of signing up for something that's just more tedious to use than an app on your phone?
