I think our biggest challenge is the loss of "learning by osmosis". When in-person we have so many opportunities to absorb context. Overhearing a convo, a chat in the kitchen at the coffee maker, sitting next to someone and having a chat, walking to and from meeting rooms (the meeting post the meeting). Being remote makes those "context sharing" moments especially difficult.
What are the biggest challenges of working remotely, and how can you overcome them?

After my morning routing - but before work! Usually while I have my tea or coffee - but always after I've filled my brain and heart with all the good things first.

Great question Neha (although you ask all the BEST questions!) I'd start with better underrstanding my personal motivations - what gives me energy, what drains my energy. And then organise my day around that data input.
For example, I am more motivated by Breadth than Depth - so spending time in the "detail" of a problem is going to be really draining for me. So I tend to do this for small...

Ask Marlee! We have a platform that helps you best understand things like "how to give feedback" or "how to resolve conflict". Taking into account the motivations of both you and your team - it helps this very thing. Super super powerful to share a common language around how to interact and communicate, but also very practical when it comes to resolution. Check it out at getmarlee.com

I'd suggest first understanding your motivations (shameless plug for getmarlee.com) and then work with you AND your team on bringing in Celebrations in your Culture. Embedding them deeply into your Culture through Ways of Working can be the key to unlocking this!

Understanding the motivation driving the behaviour! But also understanding yourself - so that you can work through the friction point in partnership together!

Hi @rohitjoshi - I'd say by 1. First having healthy boundaries themselves. and 2. By building ways of working that are transparent, honest and committed to by the team and 3. By taking REST when it comes and 4. Even better - building REST into each day.

Interesting that this is positioned as part of AI - do you think AI has made this more difficult @rohitjoshi?
A few things I do are to keep multiple beverages on hand: tea, water, electrolytes sometimes... I take a lunch break away from the computer - ideally in the sun... I "commute" (even though I work from home) - so I go for a short walk before and after work...
These are all in...

I would say: relevance, video, screenshots - then head to actually try it out. I do often Upvote based on the first 3 though!

Do shifts! We took shifts for our launch day - but I hear you on the pull to stay infront of your laptop. I do think ordering icecream is brilliant though!
Good luck today!

I pop books around my home in all the places where I usually sit and scroll. The couch, next to my bed (although I also have a strict no phones in the bedroom rule!), the kitchen, on my desk. Keeping books in these places helps me to remember to read not scroll!
