You have a largely of model risk (i.e., OpenAI, Google, et al change er ugprade the model without telling you)
Then you have vendor risk. It's a variety from the above, but your API connection could be removed at any point in time.
Hence, I have become a proponent of Open Source, Local LLMs, and proper evaluation frameworks for prompt quality
Too risky to build things in Generative AI right now?

For the written part, it's me and my GPT+Bard friends. But mostly me.
For the visuals, it's a local Stable Diffusion instance.

I am reviewing AI Agent research papers for my substack (https://jdsemrau.substack.com) and every week someone posts new ones.
So I will be busy for a while I guess.

Is there a market for AI tagging of online content as a SaaS or MaaS business?
Would someone pay for something like this:
INPUT:
"Ben Reitzes, Melius managing director, joins 'Closing Bell Overtime', to talk upcoming Apple earnings."
OUTPUT:
{
"people": ["Ben Reitzes"],
"ticker" : ["AAPL"],
"company names": ["Apple Inc."],
"source": "CNBC Television"

Training GPT3 to be an Investment Banker
Hey PH community,
We have been experimenting with using GPT3's reasoning capabilities to enhance our finclout.io platform to simulate the work of a junior equity analyst in an investment bank.
While it might be a bit early for Goldman Sachs to start shaking in fear, the results were quite impressive.
We started by prompting GPT3 to perform a few simple tasks:
(1) Summarize relevant news of...

Elon Musk - Twitter - Paradigm Shift
Being validated by the richest man on the planet feels great.
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1593160857588232192
We are experiencing a media paradigm shift.
1. Legacy media's content velocity does not match modern consumers
2. Trust in experts is decreasing
3. Monetization for legacy media is dying
At the end of last year, we realized the same thing and started building Finclout.io
We...

Looking for a new product name
Hey guys,
Initially, Finclout (https://finclout.io) started as "Thesis" . After some discussions with potential customers we came to the conclusion that Thesis is way too generic and also rhymes with feces.
Then we partnered up with BitClout (now DeSo). At this point in time we figured it might be worthwhile to be connected not only by heart but also by name to that project and we renamed it...

I started building finclout, hyperfocus.ai, and Red Bike because I was dissatisfied with
(1) biased news that always reaches me too late to take proper action,
(2) the time-intensity of constantly tracking social media to keep up to date with niche investment ideas,
(3) my inability to earn from my knowledge on social media even, and
(4) the noise of everyone constantly commenting on most...

Revenue. Revenue. Revenue.
For finclout.io, I was initially targeting a free service that similar to StackOverflow allows for efficient Q&A, but it attracted not the customer segment that I wanted and that would give useful feedback.

I like IPInfo on finclout.io because of the simplicity of the API and the nice Python integration.
Problem is that I recently started to use Cloudflare to speed up the page loading after a user complained and now the flask backed does only recognize the proxy

No-code website tools give me anxiety.
I am a Carrd customer and I am struggling with the simplest things.
Example: hyperfocus.ai
For me it's easier to self-host some bootstrap template and customize it here / there.
Example : finclout. io

My 2 cents here
Retention and Compounding matter when building a solid sales funnel.
Yet, this is different for each product and customer type.
What did not work for me working at all while scaling Finclout.io was
1. Messaging people on social (Reddit / Twitter/others)
- Users on these platforms get loads of scammy messages
2. Posting content on Twitter / Reddit
- There is just so...
