I think this is why YC always advocates the founders know each other prior. My co-founders and I were all really good friends who worked on projects together at university but when time came we REALLY struggled. We had a really rough go at this with my first startup (it was a news aggregator so there were other problems).
From someone who did the wrong things, so hopefully this can be helpful, but I prioritized the customer facing side of our platform but did not take the time to understand that whichever side I would cater too, their needs would grow. I thought I could fundraise my way out of this...

I think it is hard politically to understand where the regulation would begin because the legal teams on the larger companies would just say: "we are just good at our business, why are you interfering?" I think also because consumer habits have been so widely adopted (in the examples above it is probably safe to say there is no historical example that would have the market penetration the...
