This game is apparently really bad - with faceless characters who are hard to connect to, repetitive plot, and frustratingly slow pace. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/08/everybodys-gone-to-the-rapture-review-the-end-of-the-world-is-a-bummer/ http://www.avclub.com/review/everybodys-gone-rapture-explores-new-depths-tedium-223645

The game has a pretty hilarious theme -- a hotel is double-booked and guests fight over the last room, tearing parts of furniture off to throw at each other and knock them off the stage (like in SSB).

This game has a killer concept -- you have just one health and one arrow to conquer a series of epic boss battles. The original prototype, completed in a weekend for Ludum Dare, is still playable in the browser: http://clawmark.itch.io/titan-souls
The developers recreated that prototype using the full game art to make a demo, which you can also play for free through Steam:...

This beautiful, minimalist game has a super tactile feeling thanks to sound effects that add feedback to the tile-shifting puzzle mechanics -- a great example for app design in general.

The soundtrack to this game is also incredibly good, and adds to the hypnotic state you'll surely find yourself in trying to survive as long as possible.

A classic text game in which you have only one move before the story ends, but you can do almost anything you can imagine. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/07/25/groundhog-day-aisle/
