HR manager is required to build nice team/company culture?
In my experiences, I have not been impressed with the HR team's contribution toward team/company culture. However, HR managers I've interviewed say that building a nice culture is the most important work for them. 🤔

I think the answer to this question should be very relative to how to grow the business. In order to grow the business, I think two things are needed. 1. Different perspective - this is why we should pursue diversity. 2. Different skill sets - I cannot do everything needed to grow the business.

How often do you express appreciation openly?
To make it clear, expressing openly means expressing publicly so other team members know - probably shoutout - like using a Slack channel.
When do you express? It's a kind of self-reflection due to I've never done it openly for 14 months in the team. 😨

Do you prefer to express appreciation openly or secretly in your workplace?
Expressing openly would mean letting your other team members know.
Expressing secretly would mean sending a DM to the person you want to say thank you.
Of course, we have to use both ways, but there should be a better way to build a nice team culture. Also, I'm curious if you are using an app for this purpose.

What should I do to a team member who is not satisfied in the team.
I'm not a cofounder of the team, but I could be one of the founding members. I've built the MVP product, product team, and dev team. I'm the leader of the product team and dev team.
In the dev team, one software engineer looks very dissatisfied with the company, but he doesn't say anything about it although I have 1-on-1 every two weeks.
