I'm a huge Castro 1 fan and daily user. I just downloaded Castro 2. The import from Castro 1 was great. The UI looks great and listening UX is better too. I'm tethered and the UI seamlessly handles the double sized status bar correctly, which is not true for many top Apps.

Based on the code samples on their In Use page, it looks like they've developed an RPC protocol similar to Apache Thrift. This means that they probably compress and send data more efficiently than a traditional REST API. Evernote is the one service that I can think of that uses RPC over REST. Their SDK must also embed a cache in the iOS or Android client.

I've been using Things for years and years now. Is there any benefit in moving to Omnifocus?
