PH upvotes vs. iOS rating
The other day i noticed something that didn’t make much sense so i thought i will ask you guys - some of the highly upvoted products had very few ratings/reviews on the apple app store. wonder why that would be? People don’t bother rating on iOS app store - i would imagine all these upvotes on Apple store would make that product sky rocket in Apple app store search?

Let’s talk about a decision that you made but …
are still not sure it was the right one. For a long time, I have been debating whether offloading my coding requirements is the right thing to do or not. ChatGPT has tilted the scale where i think i can move it all back into my camp but still not sure. What’s a decision that you have made but keep going back and revisit the other option. This makes me feel like I haven’t really learnt my lesson...

Getting into flow state
It is one of the most amazing feelings and we have experienced it from time to time. Lately, I am beginning to realize that it's not just a nice thing to have but almost a necessity. Going long without experiencing a flow state contributes to general angst and erodes confidence (I think). And, hacks are no way to get there - what lifestyle changes have you made that allowed you to get into this...

Launched fitdollar a little while ago - it's a fitness gamification app. Working on improving the first mile for users. In parallel, released Mindbucket two weeks back - will be launching on PH in a few weeks. It's a simple mini-journaling app that uses AI to broadly bucket your productivity modes - intended to give you feedback as to what part of the day you are most productive. Allows rapid...

It has surely become much easier to build iOS apps. I was able to write mind bucket in two weeks - part time. chatGPT+ SwiftUI ease were the key enablers for me. Good luck on the launch Marc, will surely support you as always for the great work you do. Cheers

Does your product evoke strong emotional response?
It is said that the most engaging products or apps manage to trigger or engage their customer in a visceral, emotional way. Has this been true for your product? What aspect of your product does and what emotions? Is it through UX or features or through addressing their pain points?

Best practices for niches on Reddit?
Reddit is pretty amazing for niches - Most of my customers are from Reddit - but, I struggle to build awareness for my product on a regular basis. This is probably a very common problem, I think. Have you experienced something similar? Any best-known practices for community forming/building on Reddit?

Do ads even work for solopreneur/bootstrapped products?
My experience with FB ads has been very poor - almost all of the engagement metrics have been from spam accounts. Probably depends on the size of your ad budget :)... What's been your experience?

How to get started with Journaling?
I have heard this question a few times now so I thought I will share my experience. In case, it helps someone else too.
For several years, I have been journaling consistently. These days, I am mostly focused on penning down thoughts about building my apps. Lots of highs and lows - so I want to make sure I capture all of them. Anyway, back to how to get started with Journaling.

Totally. For the mini-journaling app that I built, AI was just for basic sentiment analysis. More important aspects are privacy, and feather-light methods to write and view memories (UX). So, I am focusing on those. The last aspect was productivity analysis and AI is not needed for that. So, really avoided AI infusion as much as I could :)

I spend a fair amount of time thinking through - half planning my moves. Not focussed on hyper-optimizing my productivity allows me to be less burdened in my tasks.

Journaling. I have found it incredibly helpful - I do quite a bit of mini-journaling using mindbucket and it serves as a short check in through the day. It also gives me a pause to bring attention to what I might be feeling through the day.
