Not just the idea, it's the final solution and UX of the app. Most of the successful apps at some point pivoted from the original idea because the features were used for something other than what the makers had originally planned. Whatsapp & Instagram are prime examples, there are many others as well. Similarly, many great ideas fail because of poor execution, then someone else executes it...

Music! I've had lessons in guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and djembe (drum). But never had time to be consistent or practice.

That's subjective. Depends on the space and TG. Though working on sharability matters in pretty much all cases. Example: Building something for young TG? Have the 'cool' factor. Building something to change a boring behavior? Have streaks and rewards. But virality is more about positioning and off-app activities- people sharing and talking about the product in their circles or on social...

LinkedIn - Great insights from leaders, Career growth, and you can also talk to friends. Most people on product hunt will go with LinkedIn or Twitter. Anyone who goes with IG, FB, or Tiktok would most likely be because he/she earns from it. In terms of sheer added-value, these platforms are unlikely to win.

Once I entered the corporate world I saw how fast-moving it is. Everyone rushing to do things and often panicking. But I never saw any point in panicking or rushing through things. It makes more sense to be simply 'pacing incrementally' and communicating better. Which turned out to be something I was good at. It was also one of the reasons I found Product management to be a good pick for me.

Unexpected, urgent tasks when bandwidth/available time is already low. It becomes a game of trade-offs then to reprioritize things. And if luck is bad enough that such tasks keep coming frequently, then some low-priority tasks keep getting pushed and end up procrastinated as the motivation for them also wears off.

I think remote work/hybrid models are not going away anytime soon. So asynchronous work is more likely than ever. Though efficiency will be a challenge, automation and ai will make up for most of it.
