This would only work if you are able to map license plate number to a mobile number. This would never work if you only rely on enough people registering to the service in order to be in the same "car social network". If I try to send a message to someone just by taking a chance that this license plate is registered in the service I would probably have a better chance at winning the lottery.

Can anyone explain why being "decentralized" is important? I understand what it means, but why should I care about that? I do not care who owns the data btw.

To be honest the idea is cool but I doubt this would really catch on. This is basically a pimped up version of Google Maps Timeline where you can see your movements on the map. The map timeline has been there for a while and the only use I have for it so far is if I've forgot my phone somewhere or someone would steel it (hasn't happened yet). Adding friends and photos to this would at most be...

In Oslo I use Foodora regularly. Normally I get my food within 40 minutes. It's going to be interesting to see how they would compete. I guess they'll get access to the same restaurants, delivery the same way (bicycle) and have similar user-friendly apps. Probably in the end it would boil down to price and in the past Amazon has been known to be crushing competition head-to-head battles on price.

This is a cool idea, and for some reason I was thinking about Glympse. We use Glympse when moving in small groups within city limits and the only reason I installed it was because the immediate gain of knowing where others I am going to meet is right now. I think you guys need to think similar here. There is no way lots of people would install this just to read local messages from anyone, it...

Emails in general are a pain, normally we make a responsive design and then we send it to psd2html or similar services to get it coded at a fairly low price. What would be the benefit of using a framwork as MJML rather than letting the experts handle the coding @weshguillaume? Anyhow, this is a great case for a stand-alone desktop app.

Snapchat started similar, so no editing and short videos. This takes the concept more in the raw direction. What I am missing is better discovery of other users, seems I can only search by username.
