This looks really cool, and these types of 'true' cloud computers have been a dream for a long time!
I'm really curious though on long-term pricing - if I were to sign up for your "Developers" plan for $50/month that would quickly add up to $2-3k over a "regular" laptop's 4/5-year lifespan. That money could easily buy a laptop to realistically challenge pretty much any hardware you're offering...

Looks really interesting, you mentioned that a lot of people already have lists (some of them very large that would take quite a lot of time to copy over manually) of stuff on Github, any chance we could see a way to one-click import those lists into rrrepo? Might not be a perfect import because of formatting differences between the lists, but any major problems could be sorted out by hand...

Great read, amazing author! Felt like the ending was rather rushed though - could've read through at least another hundred pages of the 3rd part :)
