Wow. Even aside from Lens, kudos to Pinterest on the Instant Ideas feature and overall design of the feed. The pin interaction features are really well done. Hadn't updated in a while.

@lukew feedback for first time user experience -- couldn't find any indication of the default privacy setting. Had to visit the Space url from an incognito window to find out it's indeed private, but I'm guessing a mainstream user would just abandon the process. Other than that, nice work! May try it out with a small team.

I found this book years ago from a @bfeld blog post: http://www.feld.com/archives/2011/12/jonathan-livingston-seagull.html
Since then, I've read it 5-6 times and it's become one of my favorite books. The premise sounds strange -- a seagull who gets exiled from his flock for having ambitions beyond eating -- but it's a perfect metaphor for entrepreneurship and life in general. It's a short book...

If you're an introvert, have some introverted qualities, or interact with anyone who does (e.g. everyone), I highly recommend this book. It challenges our cultural bias that extroversion = good and introversion = bad. Cain argues that this status quo only started around 50 years ago, and provides a lot of examples of how many of history's most influential figures have been introverted. As an...

It's amazing how wisdom from 2k years ago is still relevant today. This book is a collection of lectures from Epictetus, one of the "big three" figures in Stoic philosophy (others being Marcus Aurelius and Seneca). You'll find gems of wisdom for dealing with life's challenges, small and large, that you can apply immediately. It's a short read and this translation by Sharon Lebell makes the...

A must read. @ryanholiday funny you post this, as I was thinking about how similar Frankl's logotherapy seems to Stoicism after re-reading it a few weeks ago. Here's one of my favorite quotes from the book:
"...everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way."
Do you know if...

Most countries require an "onward" ticket when you enter as a tourist that proves you'll be leaving before your visa ends. This service essentially buys the ticket on your behalf and let you rent it for $9.99, then cancels it after you safely land in the country. Buying and canceling onwards tickets is a well known hack for digital nomads and long term travelers, but canceling can be a major...
