Yea, I'd be doing the same thing but on a different scale.
๐ค I would also create a VC fund that invests $5,000 - $10,000 in startups during their "friends and family stage".

Yes, they should! It helps you understand your product better because you learn to explain it in the simplest terms possible to customers.
I forced myself to learn marketing and sales years ago. I hated doing it, but today I love it... marketing not sales lol.
Should founders do marketing (even if they are tech founders)?
