Since they are not cold leads, use an email marketing platform like MailChimp, GetResponse, ActiveCampaign, etc. If you set it up properly, there's less likelihood of being blacklisted or routed to spam folder. Furthermore, you'll have analytics data to help you finetune your campaigns, which you will not have if you send directly via your email client.

Content marketing typically pushes content to mainstream social media channels, plus a few other platforms that are specific to their niche. Like one other commenter mentioned, avoid being everywhere as that could stretch your resources too thin.

I wouldn't call some of these side hustles. They're more like passion projects. For example, I learned a lot about building websites with WordPress when I started my own business. I'm thinking you should first draft a press release. This will help you to think about your value proposition and whether there is something worthwhile to announce to the world. That should answer Q2.
From there, you can then determine who you can pitch the story to and that partially answers Q1. So for illustration purpose, you want to target Gen Z. Which media do they use to consume...
Anyone tried getting press coverage before?

I might be biased, but I use Vocol (https://www.vocol.ai) a lot as I work with remote team members across different geographic regions who speak a variety of languages and this voice AI tool helps me to stay in the loop when the conversation is not in my native language. [Disclosure: Vocol is our product.]
