We launched some ads early on to test interest in our product (how many people actually clicked) and to see how those users engaged with the app. It helps to get some more data points early on but I think it gets dangerous if you're relying on paid ads for growth.
I downloaded It's On Meet and one thing I would suggest (that we're still in the process of working on and learning at Bucket) is...
Is it worth spending money to advertise our app on social media, just a few weeks after launch?

I was lucky to find my co-founders during school, but YC's online startup school is a really cool resource as well. They do weekly group calls where you can meet and talk with other founders in a similar stage as you. You can also check a box that says you're looking for co-founders so people are aware. Seems to be a really good virtual option for finding!

This is rad! As a first-time founder, I had no idea of the importance of consistent team mental health check-ins until months in. I feel like similar to technical debt, you can also have mental debt that builds up and gets worse overtime. Love how your product easily incorporates these check-ins in a fun and consistent way. Thanks for building this! ⚡️

Hey Product Hunt!

We all have a bucket list, and while "bucket list" usually connotes jumping out of planes and massive 10-year goals, we like to think of them as *anything* that you want to do. That coffee shop you've wanted to try, that...

Does anyone know of any good social marketplace products? 💭
I'm curious if any product hunters know of or use any cool social marketplaces. Thinking of one that shows what your friends or friends-of-friends are selling/offering. I know most marketplaces have profiles and a social component but are any driven by networks and who you know?

Finding our first 100 believers came easily through friends & network, but they were believers of us more than our product. To find what we called our "stranger market", we focused on using TikTok. This drove a little over 1,000 new users and after we had them as users, we focused on engaging them on Instagram, in a Discord, and on phone calls. This turned our first 100+ believers into...
Founders/makers, how did you discover your first 100 early believers?

Love this concept. Are you thinking about integrating It's On Meet or having a plug-in option for the future so people can use it across existing platforms?
