  • #1 Product of the day for 10+ hours in the last 20 hours. Three tips if you are planning to launch

    1. It is best to reach out to your product users for support and feedback rather than random folks 2. It is a long day, so prepare well physically and mentally. Hit the Gym, eat and sleep well. Many people make the mistake of being very active in the initial hours and burning out in the next half, it's a 24-hour battle, and you need to be active for all 24. 3. It is not just a way of getting new sign-ups or paid subscriptions; it is a way of putting yourself out in front of an audience and engaging; mindset decides outcomes! If you haven't checked out Humalect, please do and let me know if I can help in any way. https://www.producthunt.com/posts/humalect

    4. On a launch day don't get discouraged if not hitting the top, just do your job

@igorpavlov Totally agree with you Igor. I've evaluated a successful website that launched last year and found that its position was 7th! By the way, I can see that you'll be launching in May. Already clicked the 'Notify me' button! Which date is your launch? Mine is on the 12th! If you're interested also check the different business name generator I'll be launching! Agree with 2! When we launched evoke-app.com, we also had a massive DM list as well That also helps
    Rajesh Tilwani
@richard_gao2 yep completely agreed; the more distribution channels and option you have the more the chances of not running out of things to do in those 24 hours

Regarding your 2nd tip, is there any other stuff needed to be done for the launch day other than replying to comments/ engaging that you're emphasizing on being active the whole day? Btw, thanks for sharing these tips! :)
    Rajesh Tilwani
@hosseinyazdi yep, here are a few things we did: 1. we had a good user base before the launch, so we contacted them personally to review the product and share feedback with other users as they already knew the product. 2. comments and engagement are definitely there. 3. It also helps if you have a community which is built around your product, we have one, so we engaged with them as well to check out our launch and share feedback if they felt like 4. Lastly, the day is filled with a lot of adrenaline, so social media updates are also a good thing to share your progress and seek support. Our team was very active on social media and discussions on PH, Reddit and other communities. It's your day of triumph where you show your hard work of months to the world, live it to the fullest. Again, not sleeping is not a mandatory thing, but a choice

@rajesh_tilwani Thanks again for sharing with us your experience! Just curious to know how your customers responded to your requests for support, especially the DMs. Was the number of respondents and their impact significant? Since I guess customers often find it difficult to sign up on another platform solely for the purpose of support except for a few loyal ones. Is this true with regard to your experience? I just want to know wheatear it is worth the effort. Sorry if I'm asking many questions!
    Rajesh Tilwani
@hosseinyazdi We made sure we only reached out to customers who have greatly benefitted from the product. We got a 100% response from that list on PH. Loyal ones are the ones you go behind initially, and then maybe some more!

@rajesh_tilwani Very helpful insights Rajesh. Will definitely help on my way. Thank you very much again! :)

This is really helpful Rajesh. And congrats on your successful launch. Was wondering if you could make a similar list on last minute promotional tips you followed the week prior to your launch. Thanks
    Rajesh Tilwani
@yash_knit there are some last-minute tips: 1. Make sure your current product users have a PH profile; if not ask them to create one 2. create a list of channels you will reach out to, which including your newsletter subscribers, followers, community members, product users, etc. 3. Plan out what all tasks will be executed on launch day and in what order, also who will execute what 4. Use your social media to create a sneak peek and get people to join your coming soon teaser

Thanks for sharing! We're getting ready for our launch and I'm wondering how much time you typically spend reaching out to potential users every day before your launch. Do you recommend any platforms besides PH to contact potential users?
    Rajesh Tilwani
@new_user__11320237f64128851e6330f In some cases, it might so happen that your users might not be on PH already; it is a good idea to reach out around 2 weeks before your launch and ask them to sign up. This helps in support but also helps in getting some reviews from them since they understand your product well. PH gives you an idea about where your ideal users may be based on categories. LinkedIn and Twitter also helped us since most of our users (i.e. engineers) hangout on these
