Thank you Sveta for sharing such valuable tips. Just wanted to ask one thing, how did you build up a strong email list?
Sveta Bay
@alessandro_canella thanks a lot, Alessandro! Free products help a lot to build e-mail list. We have a free Marketing Week challenge that users get for the e-mail 😊
Alessandro Canella
@basv Sveta This sounds intriguing! Would you like to share a little more about this smart strategy?
Sveta Bay
@alessandro_canella yeah, of course. We giveaway freebies on Twitter for retweet and comment. People can download these freebies on Gumroad by giving their e-mail. Here's the example https://twitter.com/sveta_bay/st...

@basv Hey Sveta good morning! Thanks for sharing a little more, it's a kool idea and I can see it actually worked out! Smart, I like it! :)

10. Yours customers are the best promoters. Could you please kindly elaborate on this point? How exactly do your customers help you promote your product? Is there any specific mechanics that you use (like referrals, testimonials, reviews) or is it organic word of mouth?
Sveta Bay
@dan_yes This is both organic & special mechanics. - Some products have built-in virality, when users want to share them on the Social Networks (this is the best scenario). - Other mechanics are affilliates and referrals, where you pay comission. - And the last one is just a great product / customer service, so that users share it 😊

@dan_yes @basv Can you please look at https://whatslinko.com/ once it is also sharing marketing service

Excellent points. I strongly agree with the statement, "Talking to customers is a shortcut to success." Feedback or reviews actually helps you make your product grow better.
Bren Kinfa 💎 SaaS Gems
Great list of tips! Especially the one where showing > describing and telling. Seems to be applicable in a lot of other areas as well.
Sveta Bay
@saasdesigner Thank you, Bren! Yeah, this is the 1st tip to implement on the landing page, If you want users to understand what your product does 🤔

Thanks for the great advice Sveta! 🙌 They are really important tips, especially for startups. It would be so great If you could review Socialays's content as the owner of these ideas 🤝 #respect Here is the link to Socialays's PH page👇 https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

Very helpful rules, thank you for sharing. I can definitely use them to grow my product and review blogs.

Hi Sveta, this is the best piece of advice I've found on the internet. May you please elaborate on this one "Distribution is more important than the content
"
Sveta Bay
@gaurav_verma10 Thank you! Yeah, of course. You can write the best article in your blog and count on SEO, but it takes a lot of time and you don't have any confidence it'll work. But if you distribute this articles on other platforms (for example, Reddit, Indie Hackers), you get readers instantly. That's the power of distribution 💪

"sell positive future, not product features" couldn't agree more! People pay you for results not for what or who you are If you're a dentist people pay you because they want white teeth or their teeth to stop hurting get it right today
Maxime Néau
Thanks for sharing ! I like the number 3.7.9 in particular and 11, distribution is (almost) everything. And of course number 12 the paying customer are the ultimate feedback.

Number 1 is so true! Thanks for such a brilliant list of rules @basv 🙌 - I'm going to share with my team.
karanveer
Some advice here, thank you. How long did it take for you to reach that number?
karanveer
@basv I really find that impressive, also, I would love to give my 2 cents on it and it is that, for people not yet willing to buy the complete one off product, offer a service that shows this side of the things that your main product offers. It could be as low as $2/month. This way, the parties in middle of the decision might give it a shot, and after a few months take up the whole thing. Again, my 2 cents, im not an expert and still in learning process around brands and businesses. Hope you have a nice day, Sveta. :D
karanveer
@basv that is great. I meant something that is more than free and less than top, that get's you rolling in small quantities so over time it adds up. Also, I am suspecting you dont plan to go SaaS?
Nadezhda Babushkina
This is awesome Sveta! May I ask you to elaborate why “distribution is more important that content”?
Sveta Bay
@nadenade Thank you! Yeah, of course. You can write the best article in your blog and count on SEO, but it takes a lot of time and you don't have any confidence it'll work. But if you distribute this articles on other platforms (for example, Reddit, Indie Hackers), you get readers instantly. That's the power of distribution 💪
Maria Hayat
On point rules to follow + food for thought for sure
Sveta Bay
@maria_hayat thanks, Maria! Yeah, this list can be updated constantly based on experience and made mistakes 🤔
Maria Hayat
@basv Definitely! Any tips on content distribution? Our product has just gone live, and we're creating good content all around I think (trying to add value instead of just sell, create a variety of content formats etc.)- I would just like to see it perform better!
Sveta Bay
@maria_hayat This is a great approach to add value instead of just sell. I'd recommend to experiment on different platforms and don't stick to only one distribution channel 🤔
Anat M
Great points! If I may ask that you elaborate on "Empower users, not market them"
?
Sveta Bay
@anat_mr Yeah, of course! Nobody likes to be marketed. Do you enjoy seeing a fake discount countdown or getting bombarded with emails? No, you don't. Your users don't like it either. But they like to get free educational resources, feel empowered to achieve their goals, or have a good laugh. Maybe do this instead?
Natallia Shakhmetava
Sveta, thank you for sharing, valuable points! Btw, your landing page is really great 😊
David Allworthy
@basv I was so impressed with your landing page example of MakerBox Workbook that I used it as a template. Before I launch it on PH would you please have a look and check that you’re happy with it? As I wouldn’t want you to think I’ve copied you - I hope you see it as flattering 😁 Can I post the link on here or is that against forum rules?
Rebecca Milazzo
Curious for step 3, where have you found is the best place for continued empowerment?
Sveta Bay
@rebecca_milazzo this is about tone of voice, copywriting, and marketing style 😊 Nobody likes to be marketed. Do you enjoy seeing a fake discount countdown or getting bombarded with emails? No, you don't. Your users don't like it either. But they like to get free educational resources, feel empowered to achieve their goals, or have a good laugh. Maybe do this instead?
Akhil Gupta
Very interesting. Can you share which channels helped to acquire majority of your users?
Sveta Bay
@akhil_gupta3 thanks, Akhil! - PH launches - Twitter - SEO (blog) - content distribution on PH, IH, and other relative platforms

What I think is that it depends on various factors such as the size of the market, competition, marketing strategy, and product quality. If the store can target a large and growing market with a unique selling proposition, it can generate significant revenue. A well-designed website with an easy-to-use interface and a broad selection of products can attract potential customers. Furthermore, effective marketing strategies such as search engine optimization (SEO), social media advertising, and content marketing can help drive traffic to the online store and increase sales. Consistent branding and quality customer service can also lead to repeat customers and positive reviews. It's important to note that starting an online store requires significant effort, resources, and time investment. However, with the right strategy and execution, it's possible for a PCB online store https://www.elepcb.com/ to generate $17,000 or more in revenue.

Pretty nicely said and congrats on your positive progress.
