Doesn't have to be good. But it has to be different, or it won't survive.

@sentry_co Following your advice, will my cup without a bottom be a success? It doesn't hold liquid, which is the main point of a cup, but it is different.

Give a Sh***. There are lots of ways to make money. Most of them a far more effective and less risky than a startup. If you dont care deeply about the product I would recommend doing something else. If you do care deeply about your product: - Don't compromise about the things you know are important. If you are not at least a little bit difficult to work with, you are probably not doing it right. - Don't let your users design your product. Your users don't know what they want. Your users may want a feature but that does not mean you have to build it. You are the expert not them. - Always listen to your users problems! They may not know what they want, but they do know what problems they have. If you dont solve at least some of your users problems then our product does not matter.

@andreas_toddle great response Andreas, listen and understand your users problems. Also make sure they are similar problems across your user base. Don’t assume just because 1 user has a problem that all your users do.

Striking the right balance between user feedback and maintaining a clear product vision is undoubtedly a delicate art in the startup world. Thanks for sharing these insights!"

@jessica_daviss It's that "aha" moment where a product not only solves a known problem but introduces a solution for something we hadn't consciously identified. Truly, those are the products that make a significant impact.

In here, how different they are from existing solutions. Elsewhere, how much time it saves me.

@alvarovillalb_ I think Uniqueness from existing solutions defines value here. Elsewhere, time saved is crucial. A great product distinguishes itself by its innovation, setting it apart, and its efficiency in optimizing users' time.

I believe the most important thing is intuitiveness. Anyone using my product should be able to understand how to use it and its benefits instinctively.

Every good product provides value for the user. It might be a real value or perceived, but value is the key. Every product serves one or more user values: Utilitarian, Emotional, Social, and Altruistic. The more, the better, but the trick is those are personal, so what you may value, I might not.

@denis_tl I think yes successful products are often those that can effectively communicate and deliver value, be it utilitarian, emotional, social, or altruistic, based on the unique needs and preferences of their target audience.
