Almost all the posts in the community are ads and self-promotions

I have been following Product Hunt for a while, but lately, I see all the community posts as clever ways of advertising. There are guru tips that have an ad buried within and polls that guide you to another self-promotion. All the posts feel like marketing. Products fail, and most do; I do not see the value in Product Hunt as much as before anymore. Is it just me? or is Product Hunt one of the marketing tools everyone uses now?
