  • Am I the only one launching in person without Product Hunt?

When you start a HUNT sometimes a real event works way better. Are any of you doing this? Here's what I'm thinking: 1. Capture the attention of complete strangers It’s easy for your product to get lost in all that noise on social media. But in-person, you have a room full of people who are there just to see what you got. Sometimes I'll talk to the next table to get them to upvote. 2. Immediate Feedback and Adaptation: This kind of feedback is really detailed and helpful, much more than just online comments or likes. It's only when you ask the 3rd or 4th follow up question do you get to the real meat. 3. Make it exclusive People like being part of a special group that gets something first. This can create excitement and make more people want your product. Would love to hear from literally anyone. Have any of you done this before?

Absolutely not, Adrian! Launching in person can create invaluable direct feedback and connections that online platforms sometimes can't match.

I don't see these two as mutually exclusive. Do both and cover two completely different groups - the online-only & the in-person people.

I suppose it depends on your target audience, the kind of product, and your goals for feedback. If you’re looking for more UI/UX feedback vs. Idea validation ect. But I agree with @fscholz doing both seems the best if you have the resources to execute both. Out of curiosity what is your product you are launching?

@fscholz @adrian_oligarch Have you ever been to any of the Product Hunt community events?

@adrian_oligarch @fscholz I haven’t been to any of these events but you can find Product Hunt events here: https://app.getriver.io/product-... Looks like the next one coming up will be in Boston but there might be potential to figure out how to host one of these events. Feels like it’s a really great middle road for engaging the PH community while also being IRL.

Absolutely not, Adrian! Launching in person offers a unique opportunity for direct feedback and building stronger connections with your audience.

@tim_yang2 have you ever tried promoting in person?
