Animated logos help to get to top?

Question

I think it’s the third day in the row when top 3-4 products are by companies using animated logos within their submissions. Or, it may be just a coincidence. What do you think?

the animation only works when you hover over it, so doesn't make much of a difference. unless it automatically plays on mobile?

Someone told me it helps but I couldn't get to the bottom of it.  Have been meaning to find a service to animate my logo though.

Nope. The animated logos just attract attention better than the regular ones. So, it's just a psychological factor - a person pays more attention to something that is 'moving'.
