    Anyone thinks that they should be doing more user research but it always takes too long to do?

    Typical usability testing takes 2-4 weeks to do. Anyone experiencing the same thing? And end up skipping research?

    What kind of usability testing have you done (or are you interested in doing)? Just curious, because 2-4 weeks is a very long lead time! Depending the type of testing you might want to look into survey and experiment platforms like SightX (SightX.io). You can run your own studies easily (with your own audience or an online vetted research panel) and get data within days.

    user research, the unsung hero. feels like a time sink, but it's like skipping leg day; you'll regret it later. look, i get it. 2-4 weeks seems long. but what if you flip the script? think lean. think agile. try guerilla testing. quick chats with users. grab a coffee, ask questions. instant insights. not perfect, but better than flying blind. ever tried surveys? tools like typeform make it easy. couple of hours, you're golden. user diaries. let them jot down experiences. real-time insights, no wait. or maybe just be a customer for a day. seriously, use your own product. so revealing. shortcuts? yeah, they exist. but be cautious. bad data is worse than no data. always question: are you testing to validate what you already believe or to learn something new? mindsets matter. speed vs accuracy. it's a trade-off. but the longer you skip research, the more you're gambling. is the risk worth it? bottom line, don't let perfect be the enemy of good. some research is better than no research. so start small, but start now.

    @shajedulkarim_ totally agree. the risk of not doing research is so big -- as a researcher myself, I try to always enable more research to other product partners but again, the value of research seems to be different (they don't full understand the risk of not conducting research).
