I just saw someone volunteer to hunt for free, but I'm wondering if big accounts are charging or making some deals for hunting products.

Product hunt rules require the hunting to be free. You can however be charged for other consulting services, like help with your launch copy or promotion on social media.

Some hunters do take payment via "other" routes but if a hunter asks you money to hunt, that's a red flag and you need to find someone who is happy to hunt for free because they used your product and genuinely loved it.

Hunting a product is absolutely free of cost and you should not pay to hunters to hunt your product. It’s against Product Hunt's guidelines.
In the context of online platforms like Product Hunt (PH), big accounts, often referred to as influencers or power users, may not be directly paid for hunting products. However, they often enjoy a symbiotic relationship with the platform and the startups they feature. These users have built a reputation for curating high-quality content, which attracts attention to the products they "hunt." While they might not receive direct payments, they can benefit from increased visibility, networking opportunities, and sometimes perks Best Rangefinder for Hunting from the companies they feature, such as early access to products or exclusive deals.
