I think it could depend on what you're expecting to get from the demo. If you're expecting to get feedback, or to build a relationship with a potential customer, then a call feels like the best option. If you just want to convert / do some acquisition, then pre-recorded might be good enough and even lighter / less intrusive for the viewer.

@zmiro oh that’s an interesting point. I guess I am interested in both. But until I get true product market fit, I should be trying to spend as much time with my customers as possible. Do you think I could offer both options and let the customer decide?

@solomon_bush Most people will probably stick with the pre-recorded if you offer both options. Maybe a good approach is to try to get a call first, and if people don't reply (which happens all the time) offer a pre-recorded demo as a follow up message.

Depends on the ACV of your product and who you sell too. Under $1K, PLG, self-guided Under $5K, pre-recorded Over $5K, zoom call demo Over $15K, multiple zoom call demos

@drewsalesplaybookbuilder this actually makes a ton of sense. So basically the higher the annual contract value the more time I will need to invest in the sales process. I think my customer base could span all these based on their usage. So maybe I should be ready to use all the demo approaches?

Calendly is solid for product demo scheduling, integrates with most calendars, and has features like time zone conversion.

@kturner_ny8 that’s a good point - I am definitely going to use them to manage the scheduling calendar. Seems to be the go to soul these days.
