I don't think so. AI will be an excellent complement to human writers, and can save copywriters a lot of time.
For example, AI is realy good for content repurposing. I'm personally using MissingLettr to distribute my content on Linkedin on Twitter. The AI helps prepare social media posts, but you still need some human proofreading.
Similarly own startup QApop 2.0 is offering several AI tool to repurpose blog posts to answer quora questions.

AI content writing cannot create original and complete pieces of text from scratch. So we will not see a world without human writers. It will just reduce the number of writers needed
It is a myth that AI would replace human writers within no time. AI has just contributed a little by removing one of the phases in the writing process. It saves writers time by removing the repetitive and boring parts of writing, but it cannot take over all of the tasks. The writing process includes much more than just spinning some words. It includes doing research, restructuring the article, checking grammar and spelling, editing the article, etc. The stage of writing is the most important phase in content writing. No matter how great your content is, no one will read it if it is not interesting or is lacking in some sense. The research, restructuring and editing parts of the writing process require a human touch.
