    Did you ever pay someone for upvotes?

    Today we launched and I received several messages to purchase upvotes. Well, some aren't direct purchases, some creators reached out saying their post can get us upvotes. I think this is fine if upvotes are very important to you. But, some are outright, pay $99 for 50 votes. Did anyone every try this? How was the experience? I personally believe this ruins the whole purpose of launching on Product Hunt. It was meant for people to explore new products and support ones they like. What's your thought?

    Slippery slope - I'd avoid any type of payment for X upvotes etc. If you're flagged (which I presume it would be hard to track outside of the OP ecosystem) they'll pull your launch I think.

    @omar_faruk29 if the upside if getting product of the day - I get where people are coming from but frankly - just don't do it haha
