No, I don't use it. It's popular among gamers though.

For me start at Discord was easy, because I used Slack. It's pretty similar. You have threads, text channels, voice channels, can integrate some bots for meetings. My advice would be — project based learning. It's much easier to learn software if you have idea what you wanna build and what tasks it will solve eventually. For example, I won't learn Figma features randomly, just checking tutorials, I will come up with website idea and then I will learn. Same with Python, SQL, and even Discord. Wanna build a server for community? So firstly think about what tasks it will solve, for who, what it should have, rules, and more. You'll get it. Good luck with Discord.

Discord and any other platform that allows users to join multiple communities is just a waste of time. People will eventually mute your server because they already joined 10 or 20+ other servers. Unless your server is about useless Gen Z topics, you won't see too much engagement, but you can try.

I started using it when someone added me to a community at first it was a bit overwhelming but over time I understood. I would advise you to spend 20-30 minutes on the platform to understand and get used to it, start with one of two communities

I did used it in the past but dropped of because 90% of users have put servers on mute and they barely interact to newbies. I find reddit much better to for mass interactions.

Discord is a great platform for communication. Some companies specifically create their servers in Discord. But I would say that this platform is more for gamers and ordinary people who want to talk. I think right now 80% of people use discord.

Yes, I do use discord. It definitely has a learning curve. Discord is probably the easiest way to foster a community around your product. By community, I mean it allows the users to interact with each other, unlike other social media platforms. A good 8 min long youtube video, should get you up to the speed.
