For some reason email did not work for our target audience the last time we tried. But we did not completely discard it, will revisit it sometime in the future. Right now our primary acquisition happens from social media like Reddit, Twitter, LinkedIn and communities on these platforms. Both. Socials like LinkedIn can help you reach new audiences, but emails can help you build your 'owned media'. Being reliant on social media, might get you awaken someday being cut off from your reach, and you will be left with nothing. And this has already happened many times.

We're definitely at a stage where we prioritize social media but I agree that email is just as valuable. I'm hoping we can implement a good strategy in a few months' time.

I believe Emails work for sales and Social Media is more for long standing branding purpose.

Our target audience is Gen Z, who are almost only hanging out on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, so that's where we put most of our budget.

Emails are straightforward, direct, and can be done at any time, making them suitable for independent tasks. Social media, on the other hand, is more interactive but requires consistent user and content buildup to see results. Emails yield quick results, while social media takes longer to show effects. However, once effective, social media has strong potential for future growth.

Both, social media to show case and story tell about the product. Email to update users and build a closer relationship.

Both email and Social media campaigns should be run simultaneously. But I feel that email marketing isn't as effective as it used to be and social media is good at generating organic and good quality leads.

Email is good at: - building relationships or nurturing a lead - educating on products and services - driving conversion - content promotion Social media is great for discovering new things and building awareness. So, there's no universally "best" channel - pick ones aligned with your goals and audience.
