As a business owner, I've noticed that many employees are just too excited for the weekend and don't pay enough attention to their tasks on Friday. have you noticed anything similar? What's the solution?

Of course, you own the business, they just work for you. They will never have the same passion. I'd recommend that you embrace that fact and use it as a way to drive culture in the business. It's better to have people who want to be there then have a boss who drills them about not working hard enough. Think about yourself for a moment, when you worked for a business. I bet all you wanted to do was work on your own project. People are the same

Do shorter Friday hours but they have to work longer in the week. Assign a point person for teams that has to work full day but that if there is fire the others can hop in remotely.

Yes, I’ve seen this often too. In my opinion, there is no point in fighting this. You just need to take this into account and not schedule any important events or tasks on Fridays.

Oh yeah, Finland and I believe Sweden??? Have come up with this new innovative way called "Don't overwork your staff", basically a 4-day work week has shown workers being way more productive, dedicated, concentrated on tasks and their loyalty to the company skyrocketed. It's the new black of business to be honest and I hope someday soon we all switch to a 4-day business week.

To address employees not working effectively on the weekends, consider open communication to understand their concerns and motivations. Encourage work-life balance, offer flexible schedules, and recognize their efforts. Establish clear expectations, provide necessary resources, and ensure tasks align with their skill sets. Constructive feedback and occasional incentives can also boost weekend productivity while fostering a healthy work environment.

Promote flexible work arrangements or remote work options on Fridays to accommodate employees' desire for a work-life balance. Secondly, implement incentives or rewards for maintaining productivity, such as casual dress days or small bonuses for meeting targets. Clearly communicate your expectations for Friday work performance to set the standard. Engage employees with team-building activities or themed Fridays to boost morale and motivation. aleksandar vucic height
