Is it a good idea to spend most of your time, 80%, on your main project and allocate only 20% to look for new opportunities? That's not the right approach! I recently had a conversation with a friend who had set aside a budget for promoting his main project. He also spent $1,000 on creating a presentation for a new and exciting idea. Surprisingly he managed to secure 5 customers for a product that didn't even exist yet. What's more astonishing is that he only shared his pitch-deck with 10 people! Instead, you should invest your budgets, focus, and energy into the project with the most potential. None of your projects should be considered the primary one until you've tested its potential. You should dedicate 80% of your time to searching for opportunities and 20% on everything else.
