Being a good graphic designer will help a lot in transitioning into UI/UX.

I would say graphic design since it has the basic fundamentals of design from layout, font, color, etc. that can help if you want to transition into a UI/UX designer.

They compliment one another, but I think UIX comes first and graphic comes later so you fully grasp the context of a graphic design in tech

UX (English user experience) is about the user experience that he receives while working with a site or application. About two or three years ago, UX design emerged as a separate area: specialized educational courses and workshops began to appear, and companies began to look for UX designers on their staff. The popularity of UX design can be explained by two reasons. Firstly, a huge amount of educational literature, free lectures and webinars have made the profession more accessible. High competition motivates to improve the quality of services and specialize in certain aspects of design. Secondly, customers have become more educated and conscious. Today, the client understands why he needs a website, who his customers are and what he wants to get in the end. Since user experience and interface design are inseparable, it is almost always done by one person - a UX depositphotos . He interviews the customer and future users of the product, collects and analyzes information about the target audience, compiles CJM (Customer Journey Map), a map of the consumer's journey from the first contact with the product to the target action. Interesting? For those who love to develop visual and color solutions for websites, think over the behavior of elements on the page, we advise you to develop in web design. Web design - design and visualization of websites and applications: layouts, prototypes and animation rules. Today, the web is considered one of the most popular areas of design. Unlike UX and UI, a web designer already works with processed data. His task is to offer the most effective and appropriate solution based on the information that the UX designer has prepared. A web designer can be compared to a tailor who sews clothes according to ready-made measurements or a pattern. He creates the graphical shell of the site or application, the final interface, works out the rules for animation and the behavior of individual elements.

Hi. I'm a rookie graphic designer who is currently a college student studying physics. I think both graphic & UIX design, even other design disciplines, are problem-solving for different goals. Graphic design uses layouts, visual elements and design principles to convey the messages or to promote for clients via posters, social media feeds, motion graphics, etc. Simliarly, UIX design, typically UI, uses those to present the UI designs in an understandable manner so that can quickly know how to use them. So i guess both graphic and UIX designs have something in common.
