Hey PH community!
For many startups, securing funding is a crucial step toward scaling and growth. While there are many funding options like bootstrapping, angel investors, venture capital, and crowdfunding, navigating this process can be challenging.
I’d love to hear from founders, investors, and experts:
- What are the best strategies to secure funding for a startup?
- How do you identify and connect with the right investors for your product?
- What’s the best approach for pitching to potential investors?
- Any underrated funding sources or alternative approaches you’d recommend?
If you’ve gone through the fundraising journey, what worked (or didn’t work) for you? Looking forward to your insights!

My experience is great products speak for themselves. First make sure you have great user retention - a community which absolutely loves your product. Then do some PR or social media posts and let the word spread. Let VCs come to you proactively. Meanwhile, join more events, socialize with people, talk about your products with passion, and people are gonna introduce you to VCs too.

@kissonlin That makes a lot of sense! I agree that having a strong community and real user love can make a huge difference. Also, great point about networking; sometimes the best investor connections come from casual conversations. Appreciate the advice!
If a founder teaches me something new, I’m more likely to invest.
@m_hassan_sajjad Thanks for your response.
Great insights, Ashish! One crucial aspect for startups is demonstrating credibility and transparency during the fundraising process. Having organized documentation and thorough research can significantly boost investor confidence. For instance, exploring tools like an arrest data archives can be valuable for ensuring compliance and due diligence when handling sensitive records. Additionally, networking at industry-specific events and leveraging platforms that connect startups with investors can make a world of difference. Best of luck to all founders.
@johnharris09 Definitely, networking at the right events can open a lot of doors. Thanks for sharing your insights!
