Agreed! I think it's the most scalable way you can manage word of mouth marketing. As a user myself I often like to check out reviews from other users / customers so I can make a better decision about what to purchase.

Reputation is critical for any company/brand. The company with the best reputation might be able to gain market share more easily and win against a bigger and more powerful competitor but with a bad reputation. In my opinion doing PR and brand reputation and brand awareness activities is one of the most powerful marketing techniques. Any platform that can support these activities will always be of great benefit to a brand.
I would think having the feedback loop to continuously update your SaaS product would be crucial to sustainability and growth of the software. The users should have a voice on the next features and improvements that the dev team makes, even if it’s a small voice, they need to be considered as paying customers.
My trusted companions have been Hootsuite and Buffer. They do a good job of covering scheduling and analytics.
