How do you avoid the “let’s start a Google Doc habit”?

Looks like those days, work is all about real time where people immediately jump in a Google Doc to do live edits. That’s great for some use cases but can be annoying when people need time to work on draft and take responsibility on delivery. It’s also true when you have to work with an external party that doesn’t necessarly use the same tool.

Same can be said about the “let’s jump in a Zoom” or “let’s create a Slack channel”

We see a movement to get back to a more “asynchronous” way of working. Do you see the same? For which use cases? (internal vs external)

It's a culture I really much dislike and believe is more of an arbitrary synergy tactic than a true productivity hack. I cannot count the number of docs I've created from the request of someone that has gone absolutely nowhere.

With the launch of the first half of our Marketplace for sign-ups come July 17th, we are excited to take control and have policy preferences toward these type of culture principles!
