I tried the Eisenhower Matrix to prioritize tasks as Urgent/Important, Not Urgent/Not Important, etc. It helps me allocate time for both immediate deadlines and long-term projects. Having a visual representation keeps me focused and ensures nothing falls through the cracks!

I'd suggest trying an online Gantt chart with its professional features.
Using a Gantt chart can be a helpful tool for balancing urgent tasks and long-term projects in your IT work.
The diagram provides a visual representation of your project timeline, allowing you to see both short-term and long-term tasks. By scheduling and tracking tasks on a Gantt chart, you can effectively manage your time and allocate resources to meet both urgent and long-term project needs. It can be a valuable tool for maintaining a balanced workload.

Prioritize urgent tasks, schedule focused time for long-term projects, break them into smaller tasks, set deadlines, and avoid multitasking. Regularly reassess priorities.
You can start by creating a comprehensive task list and identifying Deadlines. Assess the importance, urgency, effort, and resources required.
Then, prioritize your list based on the MOST urgent tasks, considering dependencies and Breaking Down complex tasks if necessary.
Try Trello to help you manage projects!
