How do you best prepare for meeting investors?

Hi everyone on PH!
My name is Sam and I've been working on my own little side gig for a while and it's slowly becoming a serious thing now. I have a few investors that I'm planning to engage in the coming months and as a bit of a thought exercise, I was wondering how others mentally prepare for these meetings.
Being a little bit introverted I've always found it stressful selling myself, so I often spend hours rehearsing in the car or at home trying to perfect language and speed of delivery etc. But was wondering if anyone had some good insights for me to try to practice as well.
Thank you for any ideas or thoughts =)

Before a meeting, learn about the investor's career and experience. A few minutes of research on LinkedIn will put you at ease and help you to know what to expect. Last, take time before the meeting to write down any key points you want to make. This will help you to focus your discussions with the investor and keep them on target.
