How do you currently find a local service provider?

Hi hunters, I am currently working on a solution to connect service providers with end users. I am really interested in asking you how you currently find a domestic service like a painter, or a cleaner maybe even a dentist? I personally struggled to find a local reputable Gardener when mine retired. Look forward to your input.
