I am an entrepreneur trying build a social media platform. But I have no experience in coding, I have not been a content creator nor have I worked in a social media company in any capacity. I am working for an investment bank which is no way related to social media. It makes me nervous getting into a business without any kind of experience in that industry. I try to deal with this uncertainty by gobbling up any information i get , anytime of the day, everyday with respect to social media. Talking to people in the industry has also helped me a lot. I would like to know if anybody else in the product hunt community has gone down this path and what their experience was like. I would be grateful for any advice 🙂🙏

You should start learning about entrepreneurship and product management. Read case studies of different product companies, analyze their experience and learnings. All startupers should read Inspired book by Marty Cagan to have an understanding about product management and how to build a product and many other books about startup world and entrepreneurship. Otherwise you need to find trusted people who can help and guide you. It does not matter what you know right now. What matters is your willingness to learn and prosper.

@silvi_hambardzumian Thank you so much Silvi. Yes I have been doing this. I have read books like the one by Eric Ries (I forgot the name!) and competing against luck - i found this one very useful. I will surely keep your advice in mind, it gives me lot of confidence!

By approaching and facing it without any perceptions and anxiety. I believe most of the uncertainties and even the issues we expect can be solved with these too @chetan_natesh

I would say, the learning is entirely different when you are deep down
