For a business, anyone can be absent for a period of time.

@zhiqi_shi True! A well-structured business should be able to function even when someone takes a break. The real challenge is allowing yourself to step away without guilt.

I think it really depends on the company culture. If replying to work messages or even working after work hours is a norm in the company, then it will be harder to not feel guilty for completely disconnect. One of my coworkers makes it clear that once he's off the clock, he's completely offline—no work messages, no emails. He always makes sure to get his tasks done before signing off, so he could fully disconnect and actually enjoy your time off without feeling guilty. When you give your best during work hours, it’s way easier to log off and relax without stress.

I’m also curious about how to reduce the guilt of disconnecting from work. Currently, I’m still feel a little guilty, so I often respond to work messages even when I’m on vacation.😂

@evakk I hear you! That just one quick habit is hard to break.😅Maybe setting an auto reply or a vacation mode mindset could help? Guilt free relaxation is a skill too! 😂
