I think user-generated content (UGC) is incredibly powerful for marketing! It adds authenticity and trust, as potential customers are more likely to listen to real users’ experiences than traditional advertising. UGC also creates a sense of community and engagement around a product, which can help build brand loyalty. I’ve seen brands that actively encourage UGC not only expand their reach but also create deeper connections with their audience. It’s definitely a trend that’s here to stay, especially as social media continues to play such a huge role in consumer decision-making.

Some creators work better than others. A lot of depends on the script too. We use it for ads. We need to be really aware to fit in 1 minute at maximum and say what we need to convince people to try the product.

Finding the folks who are willing to do the UGC is the primary issue but otherwise I think UGC is a great way to market / create visibility for your product for folks in similar niches.

For me, user-generated content has always been highly effective for marketing, but it requires significant time for moderation, including maintaining quality control and addressing copyright issues.

I think UGC works best for products with a strong community angle like fashion, food or gaming.

I think this is one of the most underrated strategies. The reason isn’t about saving money or time — that’s a misconception. Like everything in marketing, this approach requires creativity and control. The real value lies in breaking down the barrier between seller and buyer, enabling our current customers to communicate directly with future ones.
