I think sharing gossip is one of the most important things to build strong connections in a team. Most of the time I use the slack huddle or do a memo on whatsapp.

Basically we have a general chat where we just discuss different topics and talk to each other, this is not a work chat, sometimes we even post travel photos and share moments.

I like how we talk about gossip and half the responses feel like GPT generated.
Also, personally I haven't been a part of a big team to do gossip.
I suggest an idea for a startup: a messenger for sharing gossip among colleagues. The market is huge, success is guaranteed.

We Play Some Games Online together for fun 😀😀
Btw, we launched our social networking platform, Tigbar today. Mind supporting us.
@prafull_kumar_pandey good idea. I'm not the gaming person, but sounds like fun together.
Just supported your launch, good luck!
@denis_tl In my opinion you should always be kind. Psychologically speaking, gossip is not always a bad thing, it is just perceived as negative. Gossip is also asking what you did at the weekend or how your holiday was. These conversations are like glue for good relationships between colleagues.

Definitions of "gossip" according to Cambridge Dictionary:
- 1. conversation or reports about other people's private lives that might be unkind, disapproving, or not true
- 2. someone who enjoys talking about other people and their private lives
The word you are looking for is "small talk."
You are welcome.
It's important to approach communication in a remote work setting with professionalism and respect. Instead of gossiping, consider fostering positive and constructive conversations with your colleagues. Share work-related updates, achievements, or interesting industry news. Building a supportive and collaborative virtual environment contributes to a healthier work culture.
@iulia_horvath I totally agree with you, but on the other hand, think about your friends. Gossip is a part of live, everybody does it, especially with close friends. I think it also forms good relationships between colleagues.
When I work from home at Alverna House, I share gossip with colleagues through messaging apps or virtual meetings. I ensure discretion and professionalism, respecting boundaries and avoiding harmful rumors. Keeping conversations light-hearted fosters camaraderie despite the remote setting, maintaining a positive work environment.
@sehrish_rasool1 Discretion and respecting boundaries are two limits that everyone should observe. Psychologically speaking, gossip is not always a bad thing, it is just perceived as negative. Gossip is also asking what you did at the weekend or how your holiday was. These conversations are paste for good relationships between colleagues.
