I generally use GA for tracking both web and app campaigns. Specifically for app campaigns I can recommend 3th party tracking tools like Appsflyer and Adjust. You can measure your advertising datas in details.

In addition to insights and data from the Ads Manager, there are several other ways to track the performance of an ad campaign. Tracking the performance of an ad campaign is crucial to measure its success and identify areas for improvement. Here are some steps to track the performance of an ad campaign:
Set clear goals: Determine the goals of your ad campaign and the metrics you will use to measure its success. Common goals include increasing brand awareness, generating leads, and driving sales.
Use tracking tools: There are various tools available for tracking ad campaign performance, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and AdWords. These tools can provide valuable insights into metrics such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and engagement.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs): Determine which KPIs are most important for your ad campaign and track them regularly. KPIs can include metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, and cost per acquisition.
Analyze data: Regularly analyze the data to determine which ad creatives, targeting options, and placements are most effective. This analysis can help you optimize your campaign and improve its performance. Analyzing data was my favorite step when I was running ads for https://actiongamesking.com/.
Adjust the campaign: Based on the insights gained from tracking and analyzing data, make adjustments to the campaign to improve its performance. This could include tweaking targeting options, adjusting ad creatives, or changing the ad placement.
By following these steps, you can effectively track the performance of your ad campaign and make data-driven decisions to optimize its success.
All this is the result of my experience and I hope this helps.
In addition to insights and data from the ads manager, there are several other methods to track the performance of an ad campaign:
Conversion Tracking: Implementing conversion tracking allows you to monitor specific actions taken by users after interacting with your ads. By placing a tracking pixel or code on your website or app, you can track conversions such as purchases, sign-ups, or downloads, providing valuable data on the campaign's effectiveness.
Google Analytics: Integrating your ad campaign with Google Analytics provides a more comprehensive view of user behavior. It allows you to track website traffic, user engagement, bounce rates, and other key metrics, enabling you to measure the impact of your ads on overall website performance.
Call Tracking: If your campaign involves phone calls, implementing call tracking can provide valuable data. By using unique phone numbers for different ads or campaigns, you can track and analyze call volume, duration, and conversion rates, helping you understand the impact of your ads on phone inquiries.
